Watch for Manatees!

Hello Troost family! Andrea here, yesterday Tim and I went to New Smyrna beach. We went with a few of Tims friends from school. There was actually a couple and they had a two year old and are Florida natives... (No not Indians!!) It was nice not to be the only girl with all the boys for once.Tim was also happy his friend has a boat. We beached on and island on the inner coastal. Played in the water I was mesmerized by the crabs...before this I thought they only existed in the stands in the middle of the mall. We saw manatees and dolphins, drove the boat to some docks and had dinner. It was all in all a delightful day!

Stacey's First Stop - Amsterdam

Hello! Tried to post earlier from work but I can't remember a password/user name to save my soul. . . . anyway, Stacey texted this afternoon and she had arrived in Detroit from Marquette (no snacks. . . I asked) and she was heading out of Detroit to Amsterdam . . . therefore, TULIPS in honor of her first destination. She will call Jason and let him know when she arrives or if I didn't get home and hop to it, she probably would have posted quicker than me from the Netherlands.

A Good Dose of Home!!

Thank you dad, I had an amazing weekend home. It was great to see everyone again. We only have 367 more days before we're home for good!! Mothers Day was amazing having a home cooked meal with more than one person was great. Stacey sorry that I talk more than I helped prepare. Monday I got some panera and headed in the back to have some alone time. I was totally in my own element I felt like a little kid who knew I would get so excited over a dandelion. Thank-you everyone supporting us we love you like crazy! OH P.S I got a new job today at a real company!

Happy Graduation Jason!

We just returned from a Marquette visit where we, once again, had a great time! Jason graduated with his Masters and with his graduation money, he purchased a kayak. Not quite enough room in the apartment but the men took care of that little detail by hanging it from the ceiling in his office!

We stayed at the Red Fox Inn, where Stacey has been working, which is the old Air Force Base. We stayed in the officers quarters which meant we had two rooms and a kitchenette and living room. It worked out well but as you can see from the picture of our building, it really looks just like the barracks looked when they were in use and we thought that we were at camp or in a dorm! (OK, maybe it was just me that thought that) but it was quite fascinating.

We had a fun weekend, even the traveling part wasn't too bad with four drivers and snacks. We also brought up an old moped (Stacey used to drive it to the horse barn) for them to buzz around Marquette on.

Thanks for graduating Jason, it was a great reason to visit.
